Who are we?
York Medic Tutors was established by Amal and Ken, two medical students at Hull York Medical School who became friends in their first year of university. Being STEM enthusiasts and part-time tutors since sixth form, they decided to unite their experience and passion for tutoring to create an online, independent tutoring company based in York and run entirely by university students.

What we Offer
- Medical Admissions advice
- We are unique in that we can match students to active Medical School students around the York area. They can demystify medical admissions as they have experienced it for themselves, and can guide you through the process. This includes UCAT, university selection, personal statement, and interviews.
- 1 – to – 1 Tutoring
- Our tutors share a passion for Science and Maths and can provide specialist teaching for GCSE and A-level qualifications. In the 1 – to – 1 sessions, they can find key areas of focus to create tailored sessions and learning plans.
- Group Tutoring
- Our group tutoring prices lower the threshold to accessing expert tutoring. Students can benefit from the group and learn as a collective, while having direct access to their tutor to ask questions.
- Direct tutor contact
- We make clear communication and personalisation a priority at York Medic Tutors. Since students and guardians have direct contact with their tutor, the tutoring can be tailored to suit student’s needs. With our group tutoring, we limit our classes to 6 people maximum so classes feel informal and each student gets individual attention.
